The inspiration for the colors came from onions primarily. “Tame Tan” and “Tiger Tan” are the shades of the onion logo which would best match real oinions. Then I wanted to add HEAT for the icy aspect of the sauce by adding shades of yellow and an orange/red mix to the palette. I added a slightly off black for outlines and the text on the logo.
This is the Logo icon. A simplified responsive logo which took inspiration from the mascot onion which was the original concept that I took inspiration from for the entire brand style.
The final Logo presentation includes the logo icon and font together. The icon should always remain flush wit the bottom of the text when place together in this arrangement.
Typography choices included a big bold sans serif font with a some character to bre similar to the roundeness and shape of an onion andother ingredients included in the original sauce. The body text is another san serif font which is easy to read for most people in consideration of attracting the largest possible customer base.
The Tag line is a fun play on learning a small easy word in spanish, “JUST A HINT OF PICA!” which translates to “ JUST A HINT OF SPICE”. A fun reminder of the spicey content in the product with an opportunity to learn a word in spanish.
